Adult Medicaid benefit restored in Missouri

After the 2005 Medicaid cuts eliminated comprehensive dental benefits for adults, the Missouri Coalition for Oral Health led an effort to restore coverage in the state budget for an estimated 300,000 adults. The measure passed through the legislature but Governor Jay Nixon withheld the funds, citing budget concerns. The measure was again included in the budget during the 2015 legislative session and is expected to be fully implemented.
