First approved in 1989 and renewed in 1996, 2003 and 2009, the one-quarter of one percent Jackson County sales tax called the Community Backed Anti-Drug Tax (COMBAT) supports the arrest, prosecution, incarceration, treatment and prevention of drug-related offenses and violent crimes.
