Low rankings mobilize Wyandotte County to begin healthy initiative

The County Health Rankings & Roadmaps is a collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin to measure vital health factors in nearly every county. The annual rankings provide snapshots of how health is influenced by where we live, learn, work and play. After placing last out of Kansas’ 105 counties in the inaugural rankings, Wyandotte County used the poor results to mobilize community action in improving health by creating the Healthy Communities Wyandotte Initiative.
