Police, domestic violence shelters strengthen relationships and referrals to shelters

The Jackson County Lethality Assessment Protocol (LAP) was implemented by the Kansas City, Grandview, Lee's Summit and Raytown police departments in partnership with Rose Brooks Center, Hope House and Synergy Services. The program helps first responders determine if victims of abuse are at high risk for being killed, and subsequently direct victims to appropriate providers for assistance.
