In 2006, the Mid-America Regional Council, with funding from area foundations including HCF, REACH Healthcare Foundation, the H&R Block Foundation, and the Hall Family Foundation, created the Regional Health Care Initiative. This safety net collaborative brought providers together to develop trust and a vision for collective action. Over the years, there were numerous forums, meetings and facilitated conversations that deepened relationships among institutions and fostered new solutions.
